Coby Foundation for The Future

The Coby Foundation for the Future Program is a proactive, youth-centered initiative designed to prevent violence and substance abuse while cultivating entrepreneurship, leadership, mental health support and life skills among middle school students through young adults (ages 11–24). The program recognizes that unaddressed trauma, peer pressure, lack of opportunity, and financial instability are major risk factors that can derail even the most promising young people.

Through education, parent workshops, mentorship, and real-world skill building, Love All NFP aim to help parents identify early warning signs and prevention methods; and empower youth to make informed decisions, build resilience, and create positive pathways for their futures—financially, emotionally, and socially.

Why This Program Matters: Coby Evans’s Story

At the heart of this program is the story of Coby Evans, a bright and loving young man, whose life was cut short at just 19 years old on October 14, 2023, after taking Percocets laced with fentanyl.

Coby Evans represented the promise and potential of a bright young life. He was an honor roll student, a star basketball player, an aspiring rapper, a youth mentor at the YMCA—and a young teenage father to two children. Over time, subtle changes began to appear. Like many youth, he was exposed to peer pressure, experimentation, and the influence of substances often used as an escape.

Many do not realize how quickly experimenting with substances can become fatal, especially when pills are laced with opioids such as fentanyl. Coby's story reminds us that substance abuse does not discriminate and that prevention, early intervention, and honest education can save lives.

This program exists so that fewer families have to experience this kind of loss—and so more young people like Coby Evans can live out their purpose.

Coby’s Legacy: A Prevention Message

Coby’s legacy is a reminder that potential alone does not protect our youth—connection, honesty, and proactive action do. His story challenges us to talk openly about substance use, recognize warning signs, and create spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and empowered to choose healthier paths. By investing in prevention, mentorship, and opportunity, we honor Coby Evans by helping save lives and guiding youth toward purpose instead of pain.
